Voting Woes Start Early in NY

As with many who are exercizing their right to vote, I showed up Very Early (5:00am) this morning to my polling place.

I was not suprised to find a few voters already waiting to have their say via the ballot.

By the time came for the polls to open (6:00am in NY) there was a minimum of 100 people in line waiting.  Before the doors opened we were all patiently waiting, but as soon as the doors opened, it was like Toy's R Us on christmas eve. Many who were well back in the line simply walked up to the front and dared those of us who had waited,in my case, upwards of an hour to say aword about it.

One individual platently said she wanted to be the first person to vote for Obama and no one was going to stop her.

I'm a patient man so I let the 10 or so "aggressive" voters pass.  I understand their fervor, their joy that finally a Black Man is in the running for the highest office in the land.

During this time those of us in line notice a caravan of cars pull into the parking lot of the condo building where my polling place is.  Several Obama 08 signs were seen in this group of vehices. (Side Note: Voters are not allowed to park in this Private Praking Lot)

We did not see any "mass" of people join the line and were wondering where this group of people went.  Shortly our question was answered. Someone, most likely a resident or a poll worker, let this group through the back door of the polling area and allowed them to go to the front of the line.

This was the straw that broke the camels back.  Many of us who had patiently waited were fed up.

When I question one of the poll workers about this, several of the "line jumpers" turned ugly.  I was called every thing from a racist to white trash.  My Mother, God rest her soul, was called a whore.

If this is to be the state of affairs if Obama wins, I'm moving Somewhere. I don't know where yet, just away from here.
